We’ve observed up to a 50% increase in downforce on the outer 1/3rds of a wing in testing with our V3 endplates – that is a big increase in overall downforce!
How your wing performs isn’t JUST about downforce. Wings also create drag. When we look at a wing’s efficiency, we’re comparing how much downforce AND drag it creates. Downforce is good – it improves cornering and braking grip. Drag is bad – it slows you down. When you add more angle to your wing to make more downforce, drag rises as well – and typically as the wing angle gets more aggressive the drag starts to ramp up dramatically, while downforce increases only marginally. The magic in running optimized endplates is that they increase the effectiveness of the wing – the wing can now make more downforce than before at a given wing angle. That means you can make the same amount of downforce as before with less wing angle and that means LESS DRAG… and that adds up to a faster car and lower lap times.
These improved endplates were designed around real-world airflow and pressure data to improve the downforce and efficiency of your wing.
