Singular Motorsports full brake ducting package for 1990-2005 Miatas

This comprehensive kit includes everything you need to install brake ducts in your NA/NB Miata:

• Motorsport grade 2-ply silicone high temperature hose (13 ft / 4  meters)
• Aluminum TIG welded outlets (left and right pair)
• Carbon fiber reinforced nylon inlets (pair)
• Stainless steel hose clamps (x4)

Hose

Premium motorsport grade 2-ply silicone ducting with industry-leading heat resistance: Maximum 500° F continuous / 600° F intermittent.

The 2-ply construction has an inner layer of silicone that covers the steel spring wire for smoother, less turbulent airflow than single ply alternatives. The 2-ply design is also more robust and resistant to damage, as well being able to handle more pressure and vacuum than the cheap single ply stuff. Internal steel spring wire resists crushing and keeps the hose shape uniform even with complex bends.

We include a full stick (13 ft) of hose in every kit so that no matter what bumper setup you have and how you choose to route things you’ll have enough to easily do both left and right sides. We don’t skimp on length and leave you with barely enough to do the job.

Inlets and Outlets

Our outlets mount to the front spindle/upright in place of the factory dust shields behind the front brake rotors. The direct air towards the center of the rotor, where the spinning rotor creates a suction that pulls the air in and then passes the air through the rotor vanes. Our outlets are precision cut by waterjet from lightweight aluminum, TIG welded, and then powdercoated.

Our inlets mount in the front bumper or radiator ducting just inside the bumper. They feature a flange on the front side for easy drill and mounting, and the backside perfectly matches up to the provided hose. We utilize additive manufacturing to make these inlets from carbon fiber reinforced nylon for a strong and lightweight part.

Hose Clamps

It’s a seemingly simple part of the kit, but the details matter. We provide four high quality stainless steel hose clamps appropriately sized for the diameter you choose for a headache-free install and years of reliable performance.

Choosing between 2.5″ or 3″ diameter

Our 2.5″ brake ducts are designed to fit all 1990-2005 Miatas with wheel sizes 14″  and up and are a great choice for lightly modified street-oriented builds. Our 3″ brake ducts are designed for maximum airflow and cooling to the brakes for track use.

NOTE: There are some limitation to the hose size which you can run to the ducts:

2.5″ hose is compatible with the factory under trays, requiring little to no modifications . We recommend the 2.5″ brake ducts for those who want the most cooling ability with the least amount of modification. 2.5″ hose can clear common 15×9″ wheels at full lock with the factory undertray intact and without the use of any spacers.

In most cases, 3” hose requires a non-factory or fabricated under tray to clear 9” wide wheels or larger. With the factory plastic undertray removed, 3″ hose will clear 15×9 and 15×10 with a 5mm spacer.

We recommend that you run the largest size brake ducts that you’re able to accommodate on your car. Brake pad and rotor life is increased further with the larger diameter units, as well as a larger reduction in operating temperatures.
